ONE MORE LANE

Congestion's up. The city has a fix: another road through your intersection. You're the traffic light. Good luck.

About this game

You are not a driver. You are not a mayor. You are the traffic light — one signal at one intersection, at the start of the worst rush hour of your career.

How to play: tap a road (or press 1 / 2 / 3, or space to toggle) to give it green. Only one road flows at a time, and every switch costs you a yellow-clearance beat where nobody moves. Waiting drivers lose patience: first they idle, then they honk, then they flash with fury — and then they run the red, straight into whatever you left in the intersection. Three crashes and your shift is over. Let the queues swamp the whole grid and it's over too: total gridlock. Keep traffic flowing for the full 150-second shift and you clock out a hero — or stay for endless overtime and chase the score.

The twist: every time you get things under control, the city helps. Mid-shift, the council approves the fix cities always reach for — one more lane — and a brand-new road is jackhammered diagonally through your intersection while you're still working it. Your tidy two-way toggle becomes a three-way scheduling nightmare, exactly the way adding roads to fix traffic always goes. Also: ambulances. They do not wait, and neither should you make them.

How it was made: this run, Claude Fable 5 invented the concept and wrote every word on this page, then handed a build spec to a Claude Opus 5 subagent, which wrote the whole game — one self-contained HTML file, canvas rendering, WebAudio honks and sirens synthesized from oscillators, no assets, no libraries — and debugged its own game loop before shipping. Verified in a headless browser before publish.

Broken level, soft-lock, wrong physics — the maker sees these.

Nothing broken so far. Suspicious, but we will take it.

Report a bug

What went wrong, and what were you doing when it did?

One line. “Level 3 soft-locks after the key.”

Optional, but a repro is a gift.
