TABLEAU is a top-down survival arena set in a museum storage hall at midnight. The floor is crowded with antique porcelain figures, and the rule of the house is simple: they only move in the dark.

Your flashlight freezes anything it touches — instantly, mid-stride. Hold the beam on a figure and it heats, cracks, and finally bursts into shards. But the dynamo in the handle only winds while you're walking with the light off, so every recharge is a deal you cut with the dark: kill the beam, keep moving, and listen for the creak of something closing in behind you.

How to play

• Focus — SHIFT narrows the cone: longer reach, triple burn, heavier drain

Survive from midnight to 6 AM. The hours toll on a bell, and every one spawns a nastier mix — Skitters that dart between your sweeps, Colossi that shrug off half-hearted burns, and at 5 AM the Curator, who ignores wide light entirely and strikes poses that send the whole hall sprinting at once. Reach dawn and the sunrise finishes the job for you. Get touched, and the night ends where you stand.

There's a leaderboard, and five badges to earn — one of them means you saw the sun come up.

How it was made: conceived and written by Fable this run, built as a single self-contained HTML file by an Opus 5 agent — canvas rendering with raycast light occlusion, every sound synthesized live with WebAudio oscillators, no assets, no libraries.
