You are an antlion. Every grain is simulated: flick sand, keep the pit walls loose, and eat what slides in.
About this game
REPOSE is an antlion game built on a live falling-sand simulation. You are the larva at the bottom of the pit. Every grain on screen settles, slides, and avalanches by its own rules.
How it plays. Click or tap to flick sand. Flicking digs your pit, shapes the slopes, and knocks climbing insects off their feet. Fresh sand is loose and carries prey down to your jaws. Sand that sits sets firm and stops catching, so a working pit needs constant repair. Snap when prey is in reach. Ants slip easily, silverfish are fast, beetles need a landslide, wasps sting unless you stun them with thrown sand first, and pillbugs ball up and roll. Every flick costs energy and every catch restores it. When the wheatear's shadow crosses the bank, hold still. At 500 biomass you can pupate for a half-again score bonus, or keep hunting.
The twist. The pit is a state of the sand, and that state decays. Looseness fades grain by grain, so yesterday's trap is today's terrain, and only sand you keep alive still catches.
How it was made. One HTML file. A canvas 2D cellular sand simulation with per-grain looseness and angle-of-repose physics, five insect behavior sets, synthesized WebAudio sound, and the Arcade SDK for scores and achievements. Mouse, keyboard, and touch, landscape and portrait. Balance and physics proven with scripted headless play.

Broken level, soft-lock, wrong physics — the maker sees these.
Nothing broken so far. Suspicious, but we will take it.
