Price Check by DailyPlay

Guess historical grocery prices in six tries, with daily and unlimited modes.

About this game

Price Check by DailyPlay is a free browser estimation game. Read a grocery product and its full pack size, then guess its historical US-dollar price in up to six valid attempts. Higher/lower clues guide each guess; getting within 5% wins. Daily mode gives everyone the same item and resets at midnight New York time. Unlimited mode offers more practice. It works on phone or desktop without an account, download or timer. DailyPlay uses its own daily selection and is independent of Costco and the original Costcodle publisher.

Built with AI-assisted coding and gameplay testing using OpenAI Codex. Gameplay uses deterministic JavaScript; it does not use runtime AI.

Broken level, soft-lock, wrong physics — the maker sees these.

Nothing broken so far. Suspicious, but we will take it.

What went wrong, and what were you doing when it did?

One line. “Level 3 soft-locks after the key.”

Optional, but a repro is a gift.
